Already threw DD-WRT on it and now I have my network, all within about a half an hour. So I'm guessing I had it wired the wrong way. Judging from your post, I should have hooked the client ethernet of the Belkin into the client side of the WRT54G.

Aug 10, 2012 · DD-WRT may only support 2.4GHz but the Tomato link at the bottom (Shibby's Tomato) supports both bands simultaneously as well as adding multiple SSID's (guest ID's, VLAN's, etc). DD-WRT is only used to get this ready to load Tomato. DD-WRT may have been upgraded to support dual band but I don't use it enough to really know. Sorry.
